It was a busy activity organizing the Pop-up Awareness. It was our first big job together, in which several people helped, family, our daughter Milou Voerman, friends, Hanny ter Doest with her contagious enthusiasm, Huub Isendoorn, Simon Jonkman and acquaintances, Sander Herman and the municipality of Almelo with thinking along, and all the others I have not mentioned.

Bertine Elzink was willing to give us her premises on Grotestraat for a month.

It was truly a success. The opening May 7, 2024 was grandiose. There was a great turnout, with

Apt words of welcome from Reneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Papavassiliu. A dance group from dance school InnerAll with our clay daughter Yue , danced the stars from heaven.

A second opening took place on May 13, heralded by the town crier, Rene Coupée. It was the cat show, my “Almelo city cat” was unveiled and Dennis scratched cats on commission for visitors who wanted one of their favorite cat or cats immortalized.

Throughout the exhibition, Dennis changed a survey of work from the previous century to his h

uid working towards the future.

A key component was the scratch project with schoolchildren, visitors and the Klup.

Due to the enormous success, we were able to add another month and offered Job Exel a stage, to exhibit his drawings.

We did this in the context of inclusion. Which we are great advocates of, want to propagate and bring about for others and for ourselves.
